Mini-Film Mini-Preview Online Festival 2020

In lieu of a physical meetup in Thailand this year, global creatives gathered on Monday March 30th virtually via Zoom for an online meeting showcasing recent films that have been in the works over the past year since 2019 when many of the major players got together in the Netherlands.

Each film clip or trailer was introduced by someone associated with the production of the film, we watched the clips on Vimeo or YouTube outside of Zoom, then came back together for a Q&A time. (Check out the Instagram posts here.)

It presents four films – one for each Gospel account – where we can experience the story of Jesus and the world of 1st-century Palestine in which He lived. This full-length feature film about the life of Jesus takes the actual four individual Gospel texts as its script, word for word, unedited. Five years in the making, this epic production has been critically acclaimed by leading religious scholars as a unique and highly authentic telling of the Jesus story. Narrated by leading British actor David Harewood (‘Homeland’, ‘Blood Diamond’, ‘Merchant of Venice’), it is based on the latest theological, historical, and archaeological research. With specially constructed sets and the extraordinarily authentic villages and countryside of rural Morocco, it immerses the viewer in the world of 1st-century Palestine, breaking the stereotypical tradition of a Westernized Jesus and His life story by presenting the story as it really happened 2000 years ago.
