We are passionate about using our creative skills and experience to help non-profits, NGOs, Christian agencies, churches, friends, neighbors, classmates and others with videos, photos, websites, graphic designs, illustration, comics and other mediums that make the world a better place.

Managing Director

Joshua Chew | Video, Photography, Trainer, Missions Mobilization
Joshua is Malaysian and works throughout South East Asia. He speaks English, Mandarin, Bahasa, and Cantonese. He loves working with mission agencies, missionaries, producing missions introduction videos, testimony videos, and fundraising videos. He is experienced shooting in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and other countries when invited in an official capacity. Aside from media production Joshua also does training in basic photo & video to help them produce better content themselves for newsletters, supporters, etc. Joshua is also familiar with security needs in sensitive areas. He is the co-founder a missions mobilization movement, the Project Ablaze movement, a network of agencies, organizations, workers, from South East Asia and beyond who “seek to coordinate raising awareness efforts, coach and guide potential missionaries and produce content for raising awareness”.

Tim worked in Malawi and Mozambique for 13 years and is involved in an ongoing documentary series, Sick in Africa. He hosted season 1 of the EMDC Podcast and previously co-produced the Mobile 10 training series that helps cross-cultural workers focus on how they can harness media to be most effective in their work. He is now based in Portland, Oregon, USA where he continues to produces media for non-profits and is employed as Director of Operations for Faithful Friends. (Also speaks Portuguese and Ciyawo).

Located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The offer a BA degree in Film and Media. The program awards a three-year Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film and Media studies and is designed to equip candidates with advanced media skills in modern technologies. Our program also prepares candidates to become professional media experts in and out of the church environment through integrated theological courses which are uniquely designed for the Christian church today with highly qualified professional independent film makers and instructors.

Craig D Forrest | TV director/speaker/trainer/documentary filmmaker | Matchstick Media
Craig Forrest is an award-winning documentary filmmaker with extensive travel and professional experience. He is passionate about inspiring younger generations especially in developing nations to be equipped to use media well. Craig holds a Doctorate in Fine Arts (DFA) in redemptive filmmaking and a Masters of Arts in film studies. He is the founder of Matchstick Media.

Dan Henrich | Mobile Filmmaking/Journalism | MobileTrain.co
Dan resides in Florida, USA but travels the globe training small groups in how to use their mobile devices to become filmmakers and journalists. Due to COVID-19 he has adapted his course to a self-guided training for online use and provides certificates upon completion.

Training and equipping believers in use of new media tools from streaming to filmmaking, my role has been to involve students in real life productions in order to gain practical experience. My specialty is creating award winning media on near-zero budgets, the “MacGyver of Media”. (Also speaks Italian.)

Mikael Tunér | SAT-7 PARS
Scandinavian Mikael was raised in Afghanistan and works for the Persian-language SAT-7 channel as a TV director & producer. He is always on the lookout for new Christian TV hosts who are Afghan, Tajik or Iranian. "Mike" is based in Europe and is willing to train media students who want to learn multi-camera TV studio production skills. He currently cooperates with Christian TV studios in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, France, Spain, Austria, Cyprus and the U.K. (speaks Swedish, English, Persian & Finnish).

CreateMedia.School trains local people primarily in countries with limited religious freedom in media and TV production. The training is hands-on and lasts 1-3 months. They work in partnership with local organisations and media trainers around the world. In 2020 3-month curriculum became available online. (Also speaks German).

Madison Harris | Video Editing & Production
Madison studied media at Dallas Baptist University and desires to use her passion for storytelling to help global ministries. She especially enjoys documentary & promotional work.

Cherise Vermeulen | Filmmaker & Trainer - Young Filmmaker’s Movement
Cherise is a documentary filmmaker and trainer, with experience in training children and youth in Africa. She has a passion to tell God's stories through media, particularly to children and teens. During the 2020 Lockdown period, she launched the Children's Film Movement, (now Young Filmmaker's Movement) where she trained 23 children aged 7-12 in the process of mobile filmmaking via Zoom.

Based in Kenya, Florence plans to study 2D & 3D character animation in college. She has also lived in South Africa and Zambia and speaks Kiswahili fluently. She enjoys traveling, immersing herself in different cultures and meeting new people. @flolovesphotography

During her final year of high school, Grace moved to Papua New Guinea with her family where she learned Pidgin and made a lot of interesting new friends. She liked it so much that she stayed in the area for four years helping a local non-profit with their media needs. She is currently living in the U.S. and attending film school at NYU. She hopes to put her experience to practice for a faith-based organization or NGO.

Joanna Schaus | Humanitarian Photographer
Joanna is a traveling humanitarian photographer capturing the stories of those she meets. She grew up in the Middle East in Afghanistan and Turkey for the majority of her childhood and early teen years. Currently, she lives in Minnesota but travels frequently dedicating time to documenting her experiences through her lens and advocating for others to do the same.
